Raising Vibration!

The work I do – Indian Head Massage, Reiki and Seichem, Foot Massage, Kundalini Yoga and Meditation – all help people relax and find balance in their daily lives. They help them release tension, aches and pains, improve mental and emotional health and promote relaxation and the body’s self-healing capacity. This is how I’ve understood my work.

Now I’m beginning to see my work in a different way. Each and every one of us is made of up vibrating molecules. Each person, table, chair, house, car, sheet of metal, everything is made up of vibrating molecules. Some vibrate very slowly like molecules that form a table, a rock or ice. Others vibrate very fast like steam molecules – water molecules converted to a faster vibration through heat.

When we are stressed about something or just going about living our lives, every thought we think, everything we feel, changes molecules within us. They begin to vibrate differenly. When we’re stressed, molecules in our shoulders may vibrate and change to create knots of tension. Molecules in our nervous system change causing butterflies in our stomach. The molecules we’re made up of are constantly being affected by the evironment within us and outside of us. What we think and feel can create molecules within the body.

When I give an Indian Head Massage or Reiki and Seichem session, or teach a yoga or meditation class, I am helping people to change how the molecules in their body vibrate. Each therapy or practice helps raise our vibration. We raise our vibration from heavy and tight thoughts and emotions to lighter thoughts and emotions of peace and joy.

By raising our vibration, we improve our health.

I’m so excited to keep learning more and more about research that’s helping to explain the work that massage therapists, energy healers, yoga teachers and other holistic professions do.

Bye for now!

Relaxing and Releasing Fear

Recently a yoga set I’ve done with my students is called the Kriya to Relax and Release Fear. The word kriya is a yoga set, or something like a recipe of postures to help relax the body and mind and release fear. Fear is that pesky thing that blocks us from doing the things we need to do. Oftentimes our biggest fear is a fear of success.

In eastern medicine, the liver is associated with anger and the kidneys with fear. This yoga set works on the liver and kidneys to move stagnant energy, which can help to release anger and fear. At the start of class I usually ask students to set a private intention for the class. They might set an intention to clear a fear so they can move forward with an aspect of their lives. They use the energy of the postures then to help clear the fear.

As we relax and release fear, we begin to trust ourselves more, and trust our own inner guidance. When we listen to our inner guidance, we easily find the next step to take in our lives, no matter how big or small that step is. Through yoga sets and other practices, we can reverse the contraction and restriction of fear and truly explore and apply our talent and potential.

Summer Time Stress

All year we look forward to summer, keeping our fingers crossed that there will be sun! Summer presents its own stresses. Summer brings with it the ideals of relaxation and enjoying long summers evenings.

Yet we still need to work. We still need to pay bills. Routines set from September to May changed for everyone, not just those with kids. We still need to mind our physical and mental health. We’re doing this while our body’s trying to adjust to higher temperatures.

The sun is fantastic, it really does lift our spirits. However, a common thing I hear from people who stop coming for regular sessions during summer is, “I shouldn’t have stopped coming, I still needed to manage stress”. The sun on its own doesn’t warm our stress away. We still need to practise the same self-care we practiced earlier in the year.

All year around, we need to practice self-care to keep minding our minds. Rest well and find a way to get a good night’s sleep. This may mean investing in a fan to keep the bedroom cool. Exercise and move your body. Find the right exercise for you in the heat of summer. Get curious about solutions to issues rather than focusing on the problem. Meet up with a friend for a good catch-up or to clear your head.

The Gift of Self-Honesty

Being honest with ourselves is a tough gift to give ourselves. Sometimes it doesn’t seem like a gift. When we are truly honest with ourselves, then we can begin to grow.

We all have little habits that we use to stop us from being honest with ourselves about our real feelings, behaviours and motivations. Some people keep busy with work, either at home or at work. Others reach for a something to eat, stuffing down feelings. Others over-exercise or even get involved in other people’s business.

Not being honest with ourselves can lead to relationship problems, financial problems, and health problems because we don’t want to change. We would prefer for things to stay the way they are than put in the work to change them. When we’re honest with ourselves, it means we have work to do. We need to have a conversation with someone, or we need to find help for our financial or health problems.

Being honest with ourselves like start of a movie, where the problem is identified. The middle part is the messy part where people attempt to find a solution. After working through the sticky part, the happy solution is found at the end of the movie.

Whatever you’re avoiding today, remember you can’t find a happy solution without the sticky middle.

Connecting Our Heart Chakras

This morning, I felt I needed some oracle card guidance to write a blog. I used “Daily Guidance From Your Angels” oracle card deck by Doreen Virtue. The card I pulled was “Heart Chakra”, and beautiful message on the card is:

“Love is the heart of the matter. Your heart is the center within your physical being attuned most to love. It’s safe for you to love and be loved with an open heart, as we stand by with perfect protection and guidance.”

IMAG1814

What do you love? Who do you love? Do you love yourself?

Self-love is the beginning of all love. If we don’t love ourselves, we attract people who won’t love us. When we love ourselves, we attract people who love us. In Western society, we’re taught to put the needs of others before our own. Loving ourselves isn’t an act of selfishness or greed. It’s understanding that to give love, we need to be full of love ourselves. We need to have a store of love from which to give so we don’t drain ourselves.

Giving love needn’t come from a place of martyrdom. Giving love and receiving love should be as natural as inhaling and exhaling wonderful oxygen from the Universe. Do you love because you feel you should or because you genuninely love? What would it feel like to take a moment and drop into your heart space, and see what it feels like there? Have you closed yourself off? Or do you feel safe loving and being loved?

Coming up to the Full Moon this Friday, 22 April, the message I’m getting is that it’s time to release anything that no longer serves us, any blocks to feeling safe loving and being loved. The message I’m getting is that it’s very much about releasing blocks to loving yourself and receiving love from others. It’s not about releasing blocks to giving love. It’s releasing blocks to receiving love.

Sending you lots of love and angelic blessings

Angelic Guidance To A New Skill!

Today the angels are guiding me to learn a new skill…editing audio tracks!! This is a mindfield…however it’s keeping me very mindful. I’m completely engrossed in my work this afternoon. It’s very exciting as I know it will help so many people.

Sometimes to move forward with life, when you don’t want to be in the same old rut anymore, the Angels and the Universe nudge you gently, or sometimes shove you, into a new direction. It can be quite frustrating to do this, but when you get stuck into it, it’s actually a lot of fun!

When I look back over the last 3 years, I’ve done things I never thought possible. I’ve been a chairperson of a business group. I’ve learned to do public speaking, and learned to give talks at the drop of a hat. These are skills that shy and introverted me would have once baulked at. Yet, here I am again, learning a new skill, editing audio. This one will help bring my knowledge to so many people. Of course, that’s exactly what the angels are guiding me to do!

You are so wonderful, you have so many beautiful skills to share with the world. What do you need to learn, that will move you out of your comfort zone, so you can share your wonderful, beautiful skills with the world? Ask the Angels for help, they are willing, able and ready to help you…you just need to ask them for help first!

Sending you lots of love and angelic blessings

The Importance Of Persistence

Finding our way to peace, joy and love is a path of persistence. It’s not just about persistent action. It’s about a balance of action and inaction. To follow our dreams, it’s very easy to get fixated on trying lots of different action steps in the hope that one of them will stick and we’ll manage to find the right path. Action takes place in our head. We think and overthink about the best path to take until we become so overwhelmed we can’t do anything.

Today, Archangel Gabriel is highlighting the need for inaction. Those moments when we stop, take a deep breath and just allow ourselves to relax. Those moments when we feel like we’re getting nowhere, when we feel guilty for not doing something, anything! These are the moments when our energies begin to calm and sync with the energy of our dreams. When our energies are calm, our intuition is given the quiet space it needs to be heard. Our intuition is felt in our body, not in our head.

The message from Archangel Gabriel is the importance of a persistent balance of action and inaction. She says souls having a human experience try so hard to get to peace, joy and love that they forget that peace, joy and love can be found in the present moment through inaction. Trusting yourself and practicing self-care means knowing when to take action and when to stop and breath. This knowingness comes from practice.

Ask Gabriel and the Angels to help you learn when it’s time for action, and when it’s time for inaction.

Sending you lots of love and angelic blessings
