Angel Card Guidance…Laugh!!

So this week I was inspired to use the Unicorn Cards by Diana Cooper.   Today’s card is Laughter…this card is a reminder that laughter raises the frequency around you and the affirmation with the card is, “I make light of my challenges”.

It’s such a lovely card, there’s a little girl, dancing beside her unicorn, and her white car is sitting watching.

Something I’m learning a lot about at the moment is that we all have an inner child that likes to have fun.   When bad things happen, that inner child gets scared, creating blocks to manifesting the life we want.

All children, including our inner children, need play therapy and laughter therapy.   This can mean meeting up with a friend, playing with a pet, colouring, going for a walk in nature or watching some comedy shows, or even cartoon.

Laughing is a fantastic stress reliever because it releases endorphins, the body’s happy hormone.   When we take a break from challenges to have a laugh, it clears our head, gives us some breathing space, and lightens our energy.

So what can you do right now to have a good laugh and raise your energy….I’m going watching the Muppets sing Mahna-mahnam…The Muppet Show Mahna Mahnam!!

Have a great week! 🙂

Angel Card Blog….Follow Your Guidance

Welcome to this week’s angel card guidance blog! This week, I used the Magical Mermaids and Dolphins cards by Doreen Virtue. The card that came up was “Have Faith…Your prayers are manifesting. Remain positive, and follow your guidance!”

This is an interesting card, because it follows on from the message Indriel had for us last week, which was about being a lightworker by following your intuition.   The message this week is also about trusting your intuition.   We all have big and small dreams that we’d like to achieve.   To achieve any dream, we have to take little action steps every day to get there.   Finding the steps to take really means listening to our intuition, and when our intuition seems a bit quiet, then we ask for help and follow the guidance we receive through our intuition and new ideas.

When we want to achieve something, sometimes impatience gets in the way. Imagine planting some basil seeds. You really want the basil to grow as quickly as possible because you have recipes you want to use the basil leaves in!   In your impatience, you keep digging up the seeds to see if they’re growing.   Of course, no seed can grow when it’s disturbed like that.   Seeds need to spend some time in darkness, being nurtured and given the time and space to germinate and grow.

It’s the same with our dreams.   Identifying our dream is the seed, then we have to give time and space for our intuition and guidance to give us the action steps to manifesting our dream.   It’s so important to give thanks to the angels for their guidance each time they show you the next step to manifesting your dreams.   Once you ask for their guidance, they start helping you…so listen for their guidance, follow it and have faith….you’re dreams are coming true….sometimes in the most unexpected ways!

Trust Your Intuition

This week’s angel card is “Indriel” from the Message From Your Angels oracle card deck by Doreen Virtue.   She says, “You are a lightworker.   God needs you to shine your Divine light and love – like an angel – upon the earth and all of its inhabitants.”

Lightworkers are people who have a burning desire to make the world a better place. This can range from volunteering for a local or global charity, or simply helping a next door neighbour. For some lightworkers, it means embracing their intuitive nudges into healing work.

Every week, more and more people are beginning to trust their heart and intuition.   Often when we trust our intuition, we seem to be following the most illogical path…but it leads us exactly to where we want to be.   As children and as teenagers, we’re often taught to trust the experience of our parents and teachers rather than trusting our intuition.

Then as we move into our 20’s and 30’s, life gives us lessons and in order to survive, we need to learn to trust our intuition, our gut instinct.   Our intuition moves us in a path of self-love first of all, and then in the path of love and service to others.   Lightworkers are people who are learning every day how to embrace their intuition so they can improve their own lives, and the lives of other people.

So, do you listen to your intuition?   Do you know how to?   I listen to my intuition by asking myself a question…is this situation right for me? Or, what is my next step? Then I take a deep breath in, and allow the answer to come from my heart or stomach, rather than my head.   Everyone experiences their intuition differently, and learning to trust your intuition is really learning to trust yourself. Can you do that?

Taking A Deep Breath Of Fresh Air

Often when I’m journaling, I choose a card from an oracle card deck and write out the meaning it has for me.  This is a practice I’m now introducing to my blog writing!

Today I’ve chosen a card from Doreen Virtue’s, Archangel Michael oracle card deck.  The card is “Spend More Time Outdoors”.

When we’re tired and stressed, we often forget to just go outside, even for 5 minutes, to take some deep breaths of air to recharge our bodies.   Getting that fresh, oxygenated air into our bodies is so important.

Fresh air means fresh oxygen, which helps relax our body and mind quicker.  This reduces stress and worry quicker.   When we reduce stress and worry, we manifest quicker.

What are the signs of manifesting quicker?   Have you ever been working on a problem and just could not resolve it?  Then you take a 5 minute break, went outside or opened the window for a few minutes.  When you went back to the problem, you found, or manifested, the solution instantly!

Taking a short break getting fresh air reenergises our bodies.  Of course, taking a longer walk is even better.  I always find that when I go for a walk, my body wants to take very deep breaths, like it’s topping up its oxygen levels!!

So every day, make a promise to your body to consciously spend at least 5 minutes outside, even if it’s standing at a window, inhaling fresh air.

Your body will thank you for it!

Why I Journal Everyday…

Every morning for six week I’ve been writing in my notebook for 3 pages.   It’s not a fancy notebook, just a basic notebook I got in Tesco.   If anyone read what I wrote, it probably wouldn’t make send to them.   They would probably think it was funny or mad, or maybe a mix of both!

I’ve been journaling for two decades…not that I knew it was called journaling until 8 years ago.  Writing out the thoughts in my head helped me find peace of mind.  As a teenager and in my twenties, I wasn’t comfortable opening up to people.   As the saying goes, a problem shared is a problem halved, so I shared my problems in my notebook.

Over the last 8 years, I’ve started reading books on journaling, to learn how to get the most out of my practice.   IN the last 6 weeks, I’ve started following a journaling program called The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron.  I love it!   Every morning I write 3 pages of an A5 notebook.   Every morning, when I wake at 6:30am.   In the past, I would journal when I needed to get something out of my head, to declutter my mind.

So why do I do it?   I do it so I can have a clear head.  With this new structured approach to journaling that I’m trying, I am dealing with things as they come up, not letting them fester and gaining clarity and insight into myself quicker.   Writing or journaling was always a way for me to declutter my mind.   When I’ve gone through hell, writing it all out helped me through.   Whatever was happening, writing it out took the pressure off an overwhelmed brain.

Journaling is sometimes called brain-dumping….I dump all my thoughts on paper so I can then start to make sense of it, to understand what was important and what wasn’t.   Among the many many benefits I’ve experienced from journaling, clarity is the first one, clearing my head of fear and anxiety so I can get on with my day.

So what is the best way to journal?   Take a pen and a paper, find somewhere where you can be alone for even 5 minutes, and start writing down the first thought that comes into your head, even if it’s writing “I don’t know what to write”, you’re giving your brain a prompt to start writing…give it a go…you’ve nothing to lose, and so much to gain!
